The next closest competitor is Samsung Galaxy Tab, with 4 percent share, followed by Dell's Streak at 3 percent, and Motorola's Xoom, which represents 2 percent of those surveyed.
The survey also found that about half of all owners is the only tablet in their home who use their tablets, while 43 per cent share of the device with other people.
Because the purchase of tablet, 35 percent of those surveyed said they use the desktop much less or not at all. And 32 percent of those who have laptops say they rarely use the laptop.
