Apple Is still Leading In the Mobile Application Store

Apple still dominates the mobile application market. and the company earn $ 1, 8 billion from the App Store during 2010. This result also gives share of 82.7 percent.

The bad news is, Apple is losing market share significantly, because its market share fell from 92.8 percent earlier in the year 2009. Meanwhile, Google's Android Market has increased the share of 4.7 percent in 2010, up from 1.3 percent in 2009.

"In 2014, about 50 percent more than the Apple App Store in the United States revenue would be generated by users iPad, up from less than 20 percent in 2010," he said

Meanwhile, Nokia OVI Store recorded the second strongest growth in 2010, with revenues increasing by 719.4 percent, giving 4.9 percent share of the business applications market, up from 1.5 percent in 2009.
